Nisha Gopalan is an award-winning financial journalist who has worked in London, where she is currently based, and Hong Kong.
She started her journalism career in Hong Kong, where she worked as a researcher then reporter at a few publications, from a news magazine to the city's top English-language daily.
She then moved to London where she worked for Dow Jones Newswires, before transferring back to Hong Kong to be a senior correspondent in the bureau. She ran deals and banking for Asia at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, where she managed a team of reporters across the region and broke news about big China IPOs and M&A as well as Wall Street news.
In 2015, she joined Bloomberg as a columnist based in Hong Kong, focused on banking, deals and real estate. After five years, she joined the Asia markets editing team and then transferred to London to work on the European team. As an editor at Bloomberg, she edited stories on equities, foreign exchange and bonds.
Nisha has also moderated conferences in Hong Kong on private equity and fintech as well as had frequent appearances on Bloomberg TV.
